Nixzmary Mom & Dad Sitting At Table Together!

(These are my notes for Cesar Rodriguez's trial on the day that Nixzmary's mother showed up to court. The defense wanted to subpoena her to testify. My notes for Cesar's trial are not that detailed like my notes for Nixzaliz's trial.)

On Wednesday, the 27th, the mother of Nixzmary Brown, Nixzaliz Santiago, made an appearance in court today.

They brought her in from an inmate's sidedoor on the left hand side of the room.

She was wearing a baby pink sweather, a shirt underneath, and a large silver belt made of circular links worn loosely from her hips. Her honey colored hair was pulled back but some of it was resting loosely upon her shoulders. Her mugshots make her look crazy but in person she really isn't crazy looking.

As they were bringing her in, two young black girls sitting in the back of the room whispered to each other "she's yoooung".

I wandered how a girl so young and seemingly normal looking could be such a monster by starving her own child to where she looks like a skeleton and letting some man beat on her child just so he could keep giving her money. I guess evil takes many forms. With Cesar you could tell because he looks like Dracula with his black V shaped receding hairline. I call him Spanish Dracula.

Her and Cesar were sitting at an L shaped table. Cesar sat at the lower end. Nixzaliz sat along the upper right hand side. She wouldn't look at him instead turning towards her translator. The translator was a Hispanic female with short black hair named, Jeanette.

At one point the judge told the attorneys to approach and the translator walked off to talk to the clerk. Nixzaliz was left alone at the table with Cesar! You could cut the tension in the air with a knife. She looked uncomfortable and put her right hand to her face to block her view of him. The translator was still chatting it up with the clerk.

When she was leaving, she gave her attorney, Mr. Sanchez a big hug while patting him on the back as if he were a long lost relative.

Afterwards, I heard one of the sketch artists, Shirley Shepard, say in reference to Nixzaliz's clothes, "that looked like Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor, as you know, is not cheap".

At the end of the day Judge Hall told the officers as they were handcuffing Cesar, "put Mr. Rodriguez on high risk". I guess that's a suicide watch. I thought to myself "Yeah, let him kill himself" but then I thought, "No. He needs to be alive so he can suffer every minute of what he's got coming to him".
